Section Fields
This plugin allows you to hide custom fields on a per-section basis.
If you are a heavy user of custom fields this might be useful for you.
Features
Version 0.3 is available now and it is now jQuery driven for better browser compatibility.
It adds some helpful links on the Presentation > Sections tab that allow you to quickly toggle all of your custom field preferences on or off.
The major new feature of this version is the ability to mark a section as ‘Static’. Such sections are usually used to hold a single article that seldom changes — such as an about page, or perhaps your site policy copy.
All such sections are not included in the Write tab’s section select box — which means site copy writers or other contributors will have less chance of choosing the wrong section. Users with Publisher status will always see all of the sections on the Write tab so they can get to fix any problems that might arise.
