Plugins are code & documentation bundles that extend the basic functionality of TXP and allow you to do pretty much whatever PHP+MySQL allows you to. There is an introduction to plugins here.

Section Fields

I’m working on a new plugin to allow you to hide specific fields in the article write tab — on a per-section basis.

This is similar in concept to ied_hide_in_admin except that it shows or hides fields based upon your selected section for the article.
